Dress Code

Proper attire consists of leotards, unitards, sports bras, spandex shorts, ballet skirts and leggings.  PLEASE DO NOT WEAR JEANS, BAGGY SHORTS OR SWEATPANTS!  Improper clothing hinders movement and makes it difficult to view correct body placement.  Please wear long hair up.

In order to prevent injury, proper shoes must be worn in all classes.  Ballet shoes should be pink and Capezio or Bloch brand.  Please see your teacher regarding  pointe shoes.  Jazz shoes  should be tan.  For beg/intermediate contemporary classes we use dance paws or foot undeez.  Modern and advanced contemporary classes go barefoot.  The preschool combo class uses black patent leather tap shoes and any color ballet slipper.  Tap classes are black jazz/tap oxford shoes.  Advanced tap students should check with their instructor on what type of shoes to purchase.  Hip hop classes use any color or style clean sneakers.  These shoes should not be worn outside of the studio.  Please note that you may be required to purchase different hip hop shoes for performances.
